Our story began with Maria’s dream of owning a food truck and sharing her love of authentic Mexican cooking with the community. After four years of building a successful food truck business, we took the next exciting step by opening our dine-in restaurant in Jacksonville. This expansion allows us to welcome even more guests while continuing to serve the homemade dishes and traditional recipes that helped establish our reputation. Our food truck is still available for private rentals, bringing our signature flavors directly to celebrations and special events.

Our family was craving tacos and a quick Google search showed us this restaurant was close by. It's tucked into a shopping plaza so we'd never noticed it before. We are SO GLAD we decided to go. We walked in and were so excited to see the beautiful artwork on the walls, the clean environment, and the smiling faces of the staff and the DJ. Yes, a DJ b/c apparently on Friday nights they do karaoke! We were quickly served our drinks with chips and fresh salsa. The salsa was so fresh it was foamy from having been recently blended together. The white cream salsa was ice cold and a super refreshing contrast to the spice of the red salsa. My kids each had a quesadilla with a side of rice and beans. My kids rarely clean their plate but they had every last bite of the food. A testament in and of itself. I had the the steak Sope and my husband had la Jefa burrito. You know when you eat food that so clean and fresh, that when you overeat, you feel full but not gross? That was us. While I couldn't finish the masa of the sope, I had every bite of the delicious steak topping with the tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, and fresh queso blanco. My husband's burrito was pressed. So while large, it held together well and he was able to eat it without the burrito coming apart. We didn't have any drinks or dessert that night. But we will definitely be coming back. This is for sure going to be our new taco joint! Oh, and apparently they have an amazing breakfast. So we will be back for that for sure!
